Alvila Home

This project took place between 2014-2015. Alvila home project was part of Sonja Jokiniemi's work at Helsinki City Council, where eight artists were hired to work with community-based artistic practices and projects. Her proposition at Alvila was about the notion of home: how do we map out and perceive our intimate environment. What kind of sensations, emotions and memories certain places or objects produce in us . How do we arrange our realities based on the organization of the outside world.

From this work the team produced a lot of drawings and texts, which were then collected into a visual publication- a kind of thread of association between each others drawn worlds.
